Bertha Inez DeLoach Pittman, 89, of Valdosta died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Langdale Place. She was born in Nashville, Georgia on January 25, 1926 to John Chester and Fannie Texas Ray DeLoach and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Pittman was a member of the Forrest Park Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Mrs. Pittman loved to travel and going to the Music Hall on Mt. Zion Road.
Survivors include her children and their spouses; John Leon and Lana Pittman of Orlando, FL; Faye and Larry Black of Valdosta, Benny and Cyndie Pittman of Valdosta, Rhonda Donald of St. Petersburg, FL; and daughter in law and her husband, Rhonda and Coy Taylor of Valdosta. Her grandchildren and their spouses, Greg and Aimee Pittman, Mike and Liz Pittman, Larry, Jr. and Dana Black, Rebecca and Ron Lundy, Benjamin Chadwick and Tina Pittman, Brian and Donna Pittman, David and Gabriella Donald, Chase and Chelsea Donald, Kevin and Jaycee Pittman, Holly and Ken Vaughn, Mack H. IV and Morgan Williams, SFC Thomas M. Williams; 12-great grandchildren, her brother, Clarence DeLoach of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Fred Pittman, her son, Tommy Bartow Pittman and three sisters, Savilla Hayes, Letha Wise and Maudella Crowley.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
