Berry Patrick (Pat) Leggett, 58, of Hahira died Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital in Adel. He was born in Waycross on March 15, 1952 to the late George W. and Jeline Smith Leggett and had lived in Hahira for the past seven years. Mr. Leggett was a member of the Beulah Holiness Baptist Church in Adel. He worked with the RA Program at Deenwood Baptist Church in Waycross and the Nursing Home Ministry. Mr. Leggett enjoyed life and people.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Daniels Leggett of Hahira, son and daughter in law, Christopher and Nikki Leggett of Waycross, stepdaughters and stepsons in law, Amanda and Ryan Waldrep of Helena, GA., Tanya and Baldie Gray of Hahira, ten grandchildren, Alexis Brevig, Bubba Brevig, Adam Waldrep, Makayla Thrift, Ethan Waldrep and Mackenzie Leggett, Cory Duren, Josh Kostelecky, Ethan Fletcher and Georgia Duren, sister, Betty Leggett Gillis of Waycross, nephew, George Raymond (Ray) Gillis of Waycross, niece and her husband, Dawn Gillis Griffis and Kevin Griffis of Waycross, great niece and great nephew, Ashleigh Griffis and Austin Griffis, his mothers in law, Annabelle Chambers of Hahira and Louise Daniels of Naylor. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Willard Leggett and a brother in law, Michael Gillis
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Leggett will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
