Bernice Lee Copeland Pollock

Bernice Lee Copeland Pollock, 86, of Valdosta died on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Dasher on August 7, 1926 to the late George and Eunice Jones Copeland. She was a homemaker and kept children in her home for 30 years. She was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ and loved attending worship services and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice and Keith Stephenson and Sandra Lee Pollock all of Valdosta; grandchildren and their spouses, Travis and Karon Pollock, Trevor Pollock, Stephen and Tracy Pollock, Justin and Melissa Stephenson, and Layne Stephenson all of Valdosta, Jamie and Angela Pollock, Robbie Lynn and Doug Naylor all of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Trav Pollock, Brayden Pollock, Jynna Pollock, Jessie Stephenson and Noah Stephenson all of Valdosta, Amber Long and her husband Cody of Hahira, Christopher Cuevas, Leeanna Pollock, Mason Pollock, Dawson Naylor and Olivia Naylor all of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; great-great-grandchildren, Colton and Caylee Long of Hahira; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Willis Stewart, Ann and Wayne Stewart all of Hinesville, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Marion Copeland of Lake Park, Kitty Pollock Burnham of Jennings, Florida, Betty Hill of Lake Placid, Florida, Betty Lou Pollock of Lillington, North Carolina, and Georgia Pollock and Ida Pollock both of Valdosta; a brother-in-law, Ralph Hamm of Dasher; a daughter-in-law and her husband, Joan Pollock Hensarling and David Hensarling of Hatiesburg, Mississippi; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jessie James Pollock; three sons, Jimmy Pollock, Wilkes Pollock and Wayne Pollock; two brothers, George Wilkes Copeland and J.T. Copeland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and John I. Tomlinson, Helen Hamm, and Virginia and Dan Crapps.

A graveside service for Bernice Pollock will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Dasher Cemetery with Mr. David Nelson, Mr. Michael Black, and Mr. Keith Olbricht officiating. The burial will follow the service in Dasher Cemetery. The family received friends on Monday evening at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
