Bernice Condrey Evans, 83, of Lake Park passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on January 13, 1936 to the late Alfred T. and Lillie Mae Condrey and had lived in this area since 1975. Mrs. Evans was an active member of Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her family, travelling, gardening, bird watching and reading. Mrs. Evans was active with the Senior Center, served as a Pink Lady and a volunteer with Hospice of South Georgia.
Survivors include three sisters and a brother in law, Lucy Tolbert of Oneonta, AL, Martha Brown of Leakesville, MS, Jean and James Holley of Eufala, AL; nephew and his wife, Bob and Jeffrey Condrey of Valdosta; nieces and their husbands, Barbara and James Jordan, Melinda and Ronnie Thomas all of Valdosta; special great nephew, Jonathan Thomas of Sandy Springs; many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lindy Condrey and a sister, Mildred Pfau.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, April 26, 2019 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Woods officiating. A private burial will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1-2pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia.
