Bennie K. (Kenny) Benavides

Bennie K. (Kenny) Benavides, 38, of Valdosta, died suddenly on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Smith Northview Hospital. Born in Tampa on June 30, 1970, Kenny was a lifelong resident of this area. Kenny had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke with family and friends. He also loved to fish and spend time at the beach. Kenny was a member of Ousley Baptist Church.

Kenny is survived by his parents, Ben & Katheryn Benavides, of Valdosta; five brothers and three sisters in law, Victor Benavides, Sr., Ben Benavides, Junior & Hellen Benavides, Gary & Becky Benavides, Joe & Judy Benavides, all of Valdosta; a sister and brother in law, Velda & Tim Shuman of Lakeland; 15 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by two sisters in law, Angalee Benavides and Brenda Benavides and his grandmother Lottie Mae McGauley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Ousley Baptist Church. Reverend Dillard Ensley and Dr. Clyde Stokes will officiate. Burial will follow in Ousley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
