Benjamin Van Buren Bennefield

May 17, 1928 — November 28, 2004

Benjamin Van Buren Bennefield, 76, of Nashville, died on Sunday, November 28, 2004, after a short illness. A native of Berrien County, he was born on May 17, 1928, the son of the late Enoch Benjamin and Viola Texas Bennefield. He was a Marine Corps Veteran and a retired boilermaker.

Survivors are his sons and daughters in law, Gene Bennefield and Margaret Green of Ashville, Alabama, Dorman and Cathi Bennefield of Alva, Florida, Terry and Linda Bennefield of Ray City, Wayne and Anita Bennefield of Winter Park, Florida, Tonie and Caren Bennefield of Ray City; daughters and son in law, Joan and Allen Royals of Ray City, Maxine Bennefield of Nashville; special friend, John Lang of Nashville, sister, Rose Kohler of Nashville; 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. Mr. Bennefield was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Van Bennefield.

Private memorial services were held on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 11 a.m. Carson McLane Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
