Benjamin Franklin Vann, 80, of Valdosta, died Thursday, May 28, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born May 26, 1940 in Lowndes County to the late Marrie Franklin Vann and Myrtle Irene Phillips Vann. Mr. Vann was a retired bus driver and farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Vann is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Benjie and Edie Vann, Lee Vann, Wayne and Iris Vann, daughter, Stacy Vann, grandchildren, Sherry Vann (JT), Lynn Brown (Duane), Bubba Vann (Alex), Mark Vann, Emma Grace Vann, Atyia Hart and, great grandchildren, Addison Brown, Shane Vickery, Waylon Vann, Dallas Vann, Omari Brown, Dallas Brown and Sawyer Vann, sisters, Sara White (Jack) and Faye Watson. He is predeceased by his wife, Dallas White Vann.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 31, 2020 at four thirty p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Mickey Corbett and Mr. Tommy McNeal officiating. Burial will follow at Joe Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Saturday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
