Benjamin Edward Chunn, 79, of Valdosta died Monday, April 30, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on September 25, 1938 in Warm Springs, GA to the late William Lewis Chunn, Jr. and Mary Fowler Chunn and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mr. Chunn was a member of the First Christian Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired machine tool salesman, a Shriner and a member of the Model-T Club. He enjoyed fishing and rebuilding motors.
Survivors include his son, David Chunn of Woodstock, GA, daughter, Paula Ramey Martinez, son, John Michael Ramey both of Valdosta; grandchildren, Austin Chunn, Melissa Chunn, Brooke Martinez Webb and Eddie Webb; great grandson, J. T. Webb; half-sister, Annette Chunn of Thomaston, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lee Chunn, two brothers, Billy Chunn and Bobby Chunn.
Memorial services with military honors will be held at 11am, Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Hart officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am-11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 1905 N.
