Barbara Warriner, 67, of Valdosta, died on July 30, 2016, at Langdale Hospice House. Born in Caribou, Maine, on February 27, 1949, she was the daughter of the late, Edgar Joseph DesJardins and Virginia Margaret Sutherland DesJardins. Barbara grew up in New England and moved to Valdosta in the late 1980's to help with family. An avid reader, she was a collector of many eclectic items and had eclectic tastes in music and anime. Barbara was of the Catholic faith, she held her own values and perspective on life, but was not critical of others. Barbara adored her pets and was devoted to them. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant at Poly-Pro II, Inc.
Survivors are her grandchildren, Christopher Moulton of Valdosta, Dane McDaniels of Springfield, Massachusetts, Bethany Baum of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Dee Gardiner of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, brother in law, Richard Howard, Sr., of Bay City, Michigan; nieces, Margaret VanHaaren and family of Orlando, Florida, Leslie Howard Tapp and family, Burleson, Texas, nephews, Bud Howard and family, of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, Joseph Howard and family of Enid, Oklahoma. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Howard.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
