Barbara Jean Smith Haney

Barbara Jean "BJ" Smith Haney, 56, of Valdosta died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her home after a short illness. She was born in Valdosta on August 8, 1955 to the late A. C., Sr. and May Lane Smith. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Haney of Valdosta, two sons and daughters in law, Lance and Kaitlyn Haney of Valdosta, David and Amanda Haney of Irvine, KY., brother and sister in law, A. C., Jr. and Margaret Smith of Lake Park, grandchildren, Aiden Manson, Aaron Manson, Julian Haney, Dylan Haney, Briana Haney and Dalton Haney, numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Sharpe officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Private entombment services will be held at a later date.
