Barbara Jean Meney

Barbara Jean Meney, 75, of Valdosta passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky on September 15, 1946 to the late Alfred Barr, Jr. and Elsie Marguerite Davidson Barr. Mrs. Meney was a retired registered nurse and a member of Anchor Faith Church.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Meney, Jr. of Valdosta, daughter, Emma Tyndall (Gary) of Salisbury, MD, son, Daniel Meney of Liberty, TN, daughter, Kathleen Prater of Lake Park, FL, daughter, Hilary Thompson (Kevin) of Hampton, GA, son, Andrew Meney (Catherine) of Winter Garden, FL, son, Benjamin Adam Meney of Valdosta, eleven grandchildren, Anthony, Autumn, Landon, Gavin, Aurora, Theodore, Caleb, Gideon, Shae, Kenny and Niko, sister, Peggie Altiere (Robert), brothers, David Barr (Toni), Charles Barr (Laura) and Edward Barr (Jan).
A celebration of life for Mrs. Meney will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at ten a. m. at Anchor Faith Church, 416 Dale Drive, Valdosta, GA with Pastor Mark Brady officiating.
