Barbara J. Mullis

Barbara J. Mullis, 75, of Valdosta died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008. Born on September 25, 1932 in Logansport, IN, she was the daughter of the late Carl E. and Eunice Rogers Reichard. She worked with her husband at his dental practice as a dental hygienist. She was very active in the New Covenant Church where she taught messianic dance and she loved dancing for the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James L. Mullis of Valdosta; three sons and daughters in law, James Michael & Laura Lynn Mullis of Valdosta, Dr. Kenneth Duane & Margaret Mullis of Griffin, David Eugene & Lorna Mullis of Valdosta; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Garrison, Logansports, IN, half-sister, Carla Casler of Tucson, AZ; two brothers in law and spouses, William & Betty Mullis, Ralph & Lora Mullis of Grand Island, FL; several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by a son, Donald Lee Mullis.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Stephen officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
