Barbara (Bobbie) Dasher Brownlee

Barbara (Bobbie) Dasher Brownlee, 82, of Valdosta, died Sunday, September 1, 2012 at Langdale Hospice House following a short illness. She was born on June 23, 1930 in Valdosta, GA to the late Roy H. and Myrtie Copeland Dasher. Mrs. Brownlee served as a secretary for State Farm Insurance and member of Central Avenue Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Lavonne Powell (Dale), and Sandra Bostwick (Dale) all of Valdosta, five grandchildren, Stephanie Powell, of Macon; Julie Rischar (Chad) Keystone Heights, Fl; Justin Powell (Christy), Valdosta; Ken Lawlor (Rachel) of Valdosta; Sarah Knapp (Patrick) of Houston, Texas; and five Great grandchildren, Aiden Knapp, Brandon Knapp, and Catie Grace Knapp all of Houston, TX; Solomon John Rowland Rischar and Kinnan Rischar of Keystone Heights, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Rowland Brownlee, a brother Roy H. Dasher, Jr., and a sister Carolyn Dasher.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 3, 2012 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Bryan Jarvis and J. C. McMullen officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from three p. m. until five p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
