B. LANNIS (L.B.) HALL, 80, of Morven died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Langdale Hospice House after a short illness. He was born on November 2, 1927 in Brooks County and was the son of the late Clifford Roy Hall and Jewell Hart Hall Fletcher. Mr. Hall was a member of the Morven United Methodist Church. He was retired from the concrete construction industry having been owner/operator of H & H Concrete Company for twenty three years. He worked with Scruggs Company for eighteen years and Wainer Brothers Construction for eight years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and Naval Reserve having served in World War II and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Gedelle Yarbrough Hall of Morven, sons and daughters in law, Darrel Lannis and Anita Hall, Thomas Roy Hall, Jimmy and Donna Hall all of Valdosta, daughter and son in law, Debra Jean and Robert Smith of Brooks County, daughter and son in law, Sharon and Gary Phillips, sons and daughter in law, Ernie and wife, Vicky King and Jerry King all of Valdosta, two sisters, Linda Barrett of Orange Park, Fla. and Judy Browning of Nashville, 18-grandchildren, 8-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a special best friend, Richard Anderson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris King Hall, his stepfather, L. A. Fletcher and two brothers, Eberdeen Hall and Earl Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm, Tuesday, April 1, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Debbie Cone and Rev. Bill Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
