Aurelia Harvey Lehman

AURELIA HARVEY LEHMAN, 83, of Valdosta, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Heritage Healthcare at Holly Hill Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 18, 1926 in Pitts, a daughter of the late H.S. and Zula Bee Studstill Harvey, and graduated from the former Redland High School. Mrs. Lehman was a member of the First Assembly of God. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Through the years she enjoyed baking birthday cakes for her grandchildren, and always enjoyed cooking, baking and flowers, often making arrangements for church services.

Mrs. Lehman is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla and Jake Horne, and Debbie and Wally Dennis, all of Valdosta; five granddaughters, Laura Garrett and husband Bill, Kim Brinson, DeDe Dennis, Emily Rose and husband Carl, all of Valdosta, and Amy Lott and husband Ting of Hahira; eight great-grandchildren, Kendyl Rose, Will Garrett, Buck Stubbs, Tanner Stubbs, C.J. Rose, Austin Rose, Abby Lott, and Autumn Garrett; two brothers, Herbert Harvey and wife Christine of Valdosta, and Wyatt Harvey and wife Jewel of Little Washington, NC; one sister, Marlene Branson of Darien; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Morris Lehman, and a brother-in-law, Danny Branson.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lehman will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, April 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Cotterill and Rev. James White officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Lehman’s family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
