Aubrey Laine Cooper

Aubrey Laine Cooper, age 6, of Hahira, died on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. A student in Mrs. Cowart's kindergarten class at Hahira Elementary, Aubrey was a young, vivacious, hilarious, princess-tomboy. She loved the beach, the color purple, horseback riding and riding her bicycle. A compassionate child she never met a stranger. Aubrey was a leader who loved to play with cousins and friends. She enjoyed riding the Kawasaki mule and stayed on when everyone else got off! Aubrey was a "ham", loved posing for pictures and she prided herself for being fast! She attended Cross Pointe Baptist Church and she loved Jesus.
Aubrey's family includes her mother and stepfather, Laura and Max Copeland of Hahira, her father, Cory Cooper of Hahira; brothers, Tyler Lee and Caton Lee of Hahira; stepsisters, Ansley, Brittany and Taylor Copeland of Hahira; grandparents, Charles and Elaine LaHood of Valdosta, Stan and Janet Cooper of Hahira, great-grandparents, Raymond and Judy Coker of Valdosta, George and Gonza LaHood of Valdosta, aunts, Melissa LaHood (Ben) Hayslip, Hanna LaHood, uncles, Drew (Lindsay) Cooper, Rick Cooper; cousins, Tarver, Camden and Knox Hayslip, Keith, Caroline and Anna Cooper; her dog, Sam; numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by great grandparents, W.B. (B) and Flora Bell Allman, Herman and Gladys Cooper.
A celebration of Aubrey's life will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the LaHood Family Farm on Fellowship Home Lane in Brooks County. Interment will take place at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. Please enjoy casual attire when attending the service.
