Arthur "Lee" Baker

Arthur "Lee" Baker, 57, of Cecil passed away at the Langdale Hospice House on February 28, 2016. He was born in Quitman on September 27, 1958 to the late E.J. and Dorothy Wetherington Baker. Mr. Baker served in the United States Army and the Reserves. In his spare time he loved fishing. He also enjoyed music and playing the drums. Lee was a good hearted and loving husband, father, and grandfather whose stubbornness will be deeply missed.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debbie Baker of Cecil; his daughter and fiancé, Brandy Baker and Dale Browning of Cecil; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Anthony and Ashley Baker of Kingsland, GA, Anthony and Melissa Levins of Hahira, Michael Baker of Georgia; 10 grandchildren; four sisters, Elyse Hyams of Warner Robins, GA, Mildred Futch of Adel, Betty May of Palatka, FL, Ann Blackwell of Palatka, FL; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ken "Buddy" and Jan Baker of Morven, Thomas Rowell of Valdosta; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Graveside services for Lee Baker will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations directly to the family.
