Arneita Hutchinson Ethridge

Arneita Hutchinson Ethridge, 78, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Heritage House Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born in Quitman on October 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Cleon and Alma Estelle Mulder Hutchinson. Arneita worked for Crackin Good Bakery for 34 years and was a Baptist.
Survivors are her husband, Douglas K. Ethridge of Valdosta, a son, James Ethridge of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, Douglas and Eileen Ethridge of Orlando, Florida, daughter, Elaine and Jimmie Shelton of Moultrie; brothers and sisters in law, Jerry and Sharon Hutchinson of Fort White, Florida, Chester and Shirley Hutchinson of Tampa, Florida, sisters and a brother in law, Faye Hutchinson of Valdosta, Sue and Sonny Pirkle of Jefferson, Linda Gibson of Valdosta, Shirley Hutchinson of Lake Park, Ruth Jarvis of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
Services for Mrs. Ethridge will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Zack Corbett and Reverend Paul Hill will officiate. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
