Arlene Dingee Carroll

Arlene Dingee Carroll of Morven and formerly of Lithia Springs, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. Arlene and her husband Raleigh were unable to have biological children but she raised and nurtured many nieces and nephews until they were up and gone. She then sought out childcare facilities where for the next 16years she continued the joy of caring for children. Arlene then took care of her elderly mother and father. On September 7, 2005, the love of her life, Haylee Grace Jernigan was born. Arlene cared for Haylee Grace from the age of six weeks until Arlene's illness no longer allowed her to care for Haylee. Although every day she was physically able she wanted Haylee with her.

Survivors include her husband, Raleigh, a brother, Dempsey Dingee and his wife Carrie of Lithia Springs, a sister, Vicki Garrett of Mableton, a sister, Brenda Davis and her husband Larry of Dawsonville. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Lucille Dingee and a brother, Sydney. At her request she was cremated. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Stephen Norris will officiate.
