Arlene B. (Nana) Dell, 79, of Morven, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and close friends on Friday, August 10, 2007. Born in Murray County, to the late Willie B. & Earl Deane Bramblett, Mrs. Dell has lived in this area for the past 70 years. She was a member of Campground United Methodist Church and had been a homemaker and farmer. The joy of Mrs. Dell’s life was to care for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and also her extended family.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice D. Register of Homerville, two sons and daughters in law, Richard & Christine Dell and Freddie & Nancy Dell, all of Barney and another daughter and a son in law, Japonica & Bill Haefele, of Morven; eleven grandchildren, Frederick (Liane) Register of Homerville, Stuart Chappell, and Christie (Dan) Akins, both of Morven, Lance (Kathy) Dell of Tifton, Daniel Anglin of Morven, Russell Crosby of Savannah, Susan (Jerry) Browning of Adel, Danny Crosby and Rosa Clark, both of Barney, Billy Haefele and Brianna Haefele, both of West Palm Beach, FL. Also surviving are a sister, Nancy George of Quitman, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Junior. She is preceded in death by a grandchild, Ryan Dell, three brothers, Lewis Bramblett, Russell Bramblett & Dick Bramblett, and two sisters, Oma Jean Snow and Larzell Vick.
A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Dell at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007 at Campground Cemetery in Morven. Rev. Carl Howard and Rev. Jim Pitt will officiate. The family will receive friends at Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira this evening, Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. For her love of dungarees (blue jeans), her family requests that everyone honor her memory by wearing dungarees to her services.
