Antonio Navarro

Antonio Navarro, 79, of Lake Park died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on March 1, 1936 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to the late Antonio and Juanita Navarro and had lived in this area for several years. He was a member of the Casa de Alfarero and a retired truck driver with Okeelanta Sugar Mill. Mr. Navarro enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. His desire was for all his family to come to know the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Navarro of Lake Park; his children, Antonia Navarro of Ft. Myers, FL, Alex Navarro of Jennings, FL, Antonio Navarro, Jr. of La Belle, FL, Rudy Navarro of Clewiston, FL, Benito Navarro of Lehigh, FL, Juan Guerra of Homestead, FL, Norma Alvarez of Madera, Calif., Solomon Guerra of Henderson, NC, Julio Guerra of Matamoros, Mexico, Jose Guerra of Homestead, FL, Armandina Navarro of Jennings, FL, Celia Mejia of Brunswick, Arnulfo Guerra of Lake Park, Benjanim Rodriquez and Efrain Ibarra both of Moultrie; 36-grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 15 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Navarro's favorite bible verse, And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15 (ESV).
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Lake Park Cemetery.
