Annie Ruth Pike Allen, 89, of Valdosta died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, Georgia. Mrs. Allen was born in Lowndes County, Georgia on November 3, 1926 to the late S. David and Hattie Lou Guest Pike and had lived here until moving to Snellville several years ago. She was a member of the former Forrest Street United Methodist Church and currently a member of the Valdosta Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Allen enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Carol and Jerry Lofton of Snellville, Judy Hodges of Tallahassee, FL; her grandchildren, Spencer Hodges, Wendy and John Ryan all of Tallahassee, FL, Paige and Rusty Norris, Grant and Brandy Lofton; great grandchildren, David Ryan, Justin Ryan, Ansley Ryan, Lauren Ryan, Sara Ryan all of Tallahassee, FL, Taylor Norris, Justin Norris, Allison Lofton, Chase Lofton all of Loganville, GA; sister in law, Eldora Pike of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard Allen, a son in law, Donald Hodges and four brothers, Edwin Pike, Willie Joe Pike, Alton Pike and Julian Pike.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Brian Sayre officiating.
