Annie Jewell Coody Brown Galarneau

On Monday, September 19, 2011, Annie Jewell Coody Brown Galarneau, age 91, left for Heaven. Born in Clyattville, she was a long time resident of Valdosta and a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Galarneau was the daughter of the late J.B. Coody, Sr., and Annie Lou Zipperer Coody.

Survivors are her daughter, Martha Johns-Williams and husband, Al Williams of Lake City, Florida, grandson and his wife, Scott and Kim Johns, granddaughter and her husband, Vickie and Mike Durrance all of Lake City, Florida; great grandchildren, Alexa Johns of LaCieba, Honduras, Mary-Catherine Durrance and Caroline Durrance of Lake City, Florida, Jennifer Johns and Justin Johnson of Lake City, Florida. Also surviving are many beloved nieces and nephews, friends and church family. The father of her daughter, J.T. Brown, Jr., preceded her in death.

Funeral services will take place at Westside Baptist Church on Friday, September 23, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Ernie Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5:30 � 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Galarneau will lie in state at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
