Annie Jane Giddens McMillan Folsom, 81, of Hahira died Monday, April 4, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Hahira on December 13, 1934 to the late L. C. and Pearl Parker Giddens. Mrs. Folsom was one of the first women farmers in the State of Georgia, growing tobacco and corn. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Mrs. Folsom was preceded in death by a son, Ernie McMillan, Sr. and her precious dog "Shang" who died on April 4, 2013 and "Big Dog" and "Pretty Girl".
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Folsom of Hahira whom she married on April 3, 2004; her daughter and son in law, Kathy and B. J. Adkins of Hahira; two sons, Mickey McMillan and his significant other, Barbara Thornton, Robbie McMillan; her former husband, Bobby McMillan all of Hahira; her grandchildren, Bobby Adkins of Hahira, Michael (Jasmine) Adkins of Valdosta, Tammy Price of Prattville, AL, Pam Koralewski of Riverview, FL, Joe (Kitty) Adkins of Greenville, SC, Greg (Denise) Adkins of Palm Coast, FL, Matthew McMIllan of St. Paul, MN, Arron McMillan of Panama City, FL, Jessica McMillan of Douglasville, GA, Stacey McMillan of San Diego, Calif, Ernie McMillan, Jr. of Tucson, AZ, Daniel McMillan of Hedgesville, WVA., Sean McMillan of Sumner, GA, Drew Tandy of Valdosta, GA, Lauren Thornton of Pelham, GA; her great grandchildren, Joshua Price, Matthew Price both of San Diego, Calif, Naomi Webster of Prattville, AL, Morgan (Taylor) Baum, Dawson Koralewski, Bailey Koralewski all of Riverview, FL, Jordan Adkins of Prattville, AL, Justin Adkins of Jacksonville, FL, Andrew Adkins of Palm Coast, FL, Avery Adkins and Ambree Adkins both of Valdosta, David McMillan of Hedgesville, WVA, Olivia McMillan of Tucson, AZ and Georgia McMillan of San Diego, Calif; 4-great great grandchildren; her stepchildren, Gail (John) Fleming, Carol (Greg) Stracener, Kevin Folsom and Louis Weimer; stepgrandchildren, Christi (Toby) Mitchell, Jennifer Fleming, Blake (Aprile) Steel, Emily (Trey) Mathis; step great grandchildren, Haley Mitchell, Mason Steel, Nathan Steel and Olivia Steel.
Funeral services will be held at 10am, Thursday, April 7, 2016 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Stokes offciaiting. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.
