ANNIE CLARA EVANS, 57, of Valdosta died Friday, July 8, 2005 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on December, 12, 1947 in Jacksonville, Fla to Irene McLane Durrrance and the late Fred Durrance and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mrs. Evans owned and operated a Day Care Service and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Evans of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, Stanley, Sr. and Ann Evans of Valdosta, two daughters and sons in law, Teresa and Eddy Woodfin, Sonya Rivera and Elwood Godwin all of Valdosta, her mother, Irene Durrance of Valdosta, six grandchildren, Stanley Evans, Jr., Ashley Evans, April Evans, Jack Schroepfer, Jr., Jayme Woodfin and Edwin Rivera, Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Durrance and her granddaughter, Harley Woodfin.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday July 12, 2005 at the Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Alton Hardee, Rev. Milton Sellars and Rev. James Young officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia or to the Pearlman Cancer Center, P.O. Box 1727, Valdosta, GA 31603-1727.
