Anne Stanford Dasher, 84, of Lake Park, GA passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 after a brief illness. Mrs. Dasher was born on November 14, 1932, in Tyty, GA to the late R.P. & Lucy Hutchinson Stanford. She graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1950 before attending Southern Business School in Atlanta. Anne was a faithful member of Central Avenue Church of Christ for over sixty years.
Mrs. Dasher is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jan and Jim Hampton, son, Earl Dasher, son and daughter in law, Mike and Beth Dasher all of Valdosta; three grandchildren, Missy (Misha) Yenatsky of Vidalia, GA, Susan (Kyle) Lawton of Augusta, & McKenzie Dasher of Valdosta, and one great-grandchild, Alisa Anne Yenatsky of Vidalia, GA. She is survived by four sisters, Melba Mathis of Perry, Ga, Shirley Blankenship of Monroe, GA, Joyce (Bill) Clayton of Inman, SC and Judy Carney of Hattiesburg, MS; one brother, Jack (Kathy) Stanford of Raleigh, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.P. and Lucy Stanford, her husband of 58 years, Raymond Dasher, a brother, Morris Stanford and her step-father, Paul Swofford.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 5 – 7 pm at Carson McLane Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 10 am in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. John Klimko and Jim Hampton will officiate. Burial will follow at Dasher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Central Avenue Church of Christ Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
