Anne Rankin Singletary

Anne Rankin Singletary was born April 24, 1941 in Atlanta, GA to the late William and Helen Davidson Rankin. She graduated from Northside High School and attended the University of Georgia. While at UGA she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and met the love of her life, Joe Singletary.

Anne was a faithful member of Christ Episcopal Church, loved serving on the Alter Guild, attending bible studies, meeting with her reunion group and other small groups. She was an avid bridge player and cherished her bridge clubs. Anne Singletary was a devoted friend to many and cooked countless meals for everyone.

Anne died Monday, November 30, 2020 after a period of declining health. She is survived by her husband Joe Pilcher Singletary, Jr.; her son and daughter-in-law Trip and Laura Singletary; daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Gary Cannon; daughter April Singletary, all of Valdosta, GA; her grandchildren, Lauren and her husband Dylan Maixner, Hollyn, Emily and Camille Singletary. Anne Rankin and Gary Cannon, Jr., Alex and Joe Ferrell Singletary; great granddaughter Anne Carlisle Maixner; sister and brother-in-law Ginger and George Colvin of Lawrenceville, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lewis and Donna Singletary of Destin, FL; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Suzan and John Dennis of Valdosta, Ga; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church at the memorial garden at 11:30 on Friday, December 18, 2020.
