Anna Register, 81, of Lake Park, died on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on March 20, 1935 in Mataro, Spain to the late Guillermo and Esperonza Subaru Dreher. Mrs. Register was a survivor of WWII as she along with her family had many close encounters with Nazi SS troops while living in Czechoslovakia. Their lives were threatened on many occasions, but the grace of God brought her through. She met and married William Register and moved to the United States. She became a citizen of the United States in 2014, an accomplishment of which she was very proud of. Mrs. Register was fluent in four languages but could speak seven, and was a member of the Statenville Church of God.
Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Sandy Register, Chris and Penny Register, and Jamie and Victoria Register all of Statenville; six grandchildren, Carter Register, Graham Register, Reece Register, Raegen Register, Caleb Register, and Gabriel Register all of Statenville; her sister and brother-in-law, Christina and Rudolph Wulf of Spain. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Register and her brother, Willie Dreher
A memorial service for Mrs. Anna Register will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Statenville Church of God with Rev. Jaime Register officiating. A private family committal will take place at a later date and time at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday at the church.
