ANNA MAE BURNEY WEATHERS, 90, of Valdosta died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Valdosta after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 18, 1914 in the Dinsmore Community of Jacksonville to the late Marcus T. and Lena Higginbotham Burney. Mrs. Weathers was a member of the Dinsmore Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Lewis Edgebert and Debby Weathers of Valdosta, 5-grandchildren, Jeffrey Thibodeau of Valdosta, Richard Weathers of Altaboro, Mass., Rhonda Caldwell of Niles, Ohio, Jamey Thibodeau of Greece and Troy Weathers of Adel 5-great grandchildren, Madison Weathers of Adel, Abigail Thibodeau of Valdosta, Haley Thibodeau of Presque Isle, ME., Kyle Maffit and Tanner Caldwell of Niles, Ohio, numerous nieces and nephews, two sisters in law, Connie Hammond of Jacksonville, Fla and Kitty Cox of Tallahassee, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson Weathers, one brother and several sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Dinsmore Cemetery with the Rev. Winson Butler officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Martin/McLane Funeral Home of Hahira, GA is in charge of arrangements.
