Ann Bozeman

Annie Pearl Cockerham Bozeman, 83, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Langdale Hospice House. Born in Crowville, Louisiana, on May 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and Winnie Julia Milby Cockerham. She had made her home in Valdosta since 1993 and had resided at Langdale Place for the past 5 years. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for the Mailbox Club in Valdosta and had also volunteered at the hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Survivors are three daughters, Dorothy Ann Kazy of Knoxville, Tennessee, Sandra Jean Harris of Atlanta, Judy and Richard Pye of Valdosta; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a sister, Ola Whitney of Winnsboro, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bozeman, a sister, Helen Smith and a brother, Arnold Cockerham.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Charlie Scarborough, Pastor to the seniors of Crossroads Baptist Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. Mrs. Bozeman will be entombed next to her husband at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Tennessee.
