Angela Gayle Walker, 39, of Lake Park, died on Friday, October 16, 2015 at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born on January 6, 1976 in Hahira, Georgia to Charles Jernigan and Patricia Thornton Kirkland. She was a veteran of the United States Army who faithfully and honorably served her country during the Iraq war having seen action in both Kuwait and Iraq. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Kevin S. Harper of Lake Park; her companion, Stephanie Hicks also of Lake Park; her mother and step-father, Patricia and Charles Kirkland, her father and step-mother, Charles and Vicki Jernigan, and her grandmother, Clair Pearl Thornton all of Lake Park; her brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Susan Walker of Valdosta; aunts, uncles, niece, nephew, cousins and countless friends; comrades-in-arms (battle buddies).

A visitation for Angela Gayle Walker will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park. Ms. Walker will be cremated according to her wishes. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. McLane Lakewood.
