Andy Griffin

Andy Griffin, 55, of Valdosta, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. Born in Valdosta on February 23, 1969, Andy was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Griffin and Bessie Lynnette Rogers Griffin. He spent his childhood in Valdosta, graduating from Valdosta High School in 1987 where he played on the Wildcat football team's defense. Andy briefly attended Valdosta State University and pledged Kappa Alpha. His career began at Queen Carpet followed by several years at Sims Fence. A passionate outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing at Enoch Lake and along various rivers. Andy adored the Bulldogs, the Braves, and cherished moments spent outdoors. He took pleasure in yard work, cooking for loved ones, and his beloved dachshunds. 

Andy is survived by his sisters and their spouses: Sharron and Bill Gandy of Valdosta, Annette and Chuck Gray of Hahira; as well as his aunt Charlotte Cloud of Lake Park; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
