Amanda "Susie" Webb

February 23, 1939 — January 28, 2016

Amanda "Susie" Webb, of Macon, formerly of Valdosta and Lake Sinclair, died at Pine Point Hospice on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Born in Brooks County, on February 23, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Fleming B. and Leila S. Williams. She lived most of her life in Valdosta until she and her husband, Jesse A. Webb, made their home on Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville. She spent the last six years in Macon where she resided with and was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Carol and son in law, Lee, enjoying every moment and every memory. Susie spent her life helping others, loving her family, cooking and making arts and crafts. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Milledgeville but transferred her membership to Ingleside Baptist Church where she attended with her family and was active with her Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 54 years, Jesse A. Webb, sisters, Eloise Griffin, Minnie Pearl Hendrickson, Sadie Stephens, and Gloria Trego, brothers, Edward Williams, Johnny Williams, and FB Williams.
Survivors include daughters, Carolyn W. Fouraker and (Lee Fouraker) of Macon, Debi Tinsley and (Dannie Tinsley) of Valdosta, Lisa W. Myers and (Scott Coulter) of Byron; a son, Christian A. Webb of Macon; grandchildren, Amanda Rowe, Debra Tinsley-Powell and (Josh Powell) of Valdosta, Jessie F. Michie and (Adam Michie) and Colby Fouraker of Macon, Alexia Myers and Lane Myers of Byron; great grandchildren, Carolina, Haylee, and Jessa Michie, Nevaeh, Keagan, and Danileigh Tinsley-Powell; and London Fouraker. Survivors also include her brother, Tony Williams of Hahira, sisters, Barbara Holliman of Valdosta, and Voncil Garland of Jacksonville, Florida; sister in law, Elsie Pennington of Springfield, Ohio; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and their families; and a very special friend, Chydana White.
Graveside services will be held at Welcome Hill Cemetery in Brooks County on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor C.J. Fouraker officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The following will serve as pallbearers, each of whom held a special place in Susie's heart, and the family expresses gratitude for their service, love and kindness during this heart breaking time; Jesse Williams, Larry Williams, Timmy Alexander, Wayne Williams, Danny Futch, Tommy Armes and as honorary pallbearers, Buddy Webb, Ryan Alexander and Riley Weaver.
A memorial service will be held at Ingleside Baptist Church Chapel in Macon on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
