Alma Kathryn Green

Alma Kathryn Green, 79, of Valdosta passed away December 9, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Green was born in Dothan, Alabama on December 28, 1934 to the late Oscar A Lonzo and Ether Aman Shelley and was raised in Colquitt, GA. She was a homemaker and served beside her late husband with the Church of God. She was a member of Swilley Hill Church of God.

Mrs. Green is survived by two daughters, Donna Green of Valdosta, and Kathy Culpepper (Dale) of Lake Park; grandchildren Krista White (Michael) of Valdosta, Matthew Culpepper of Lake Park, Kayla Staten, Desiree Staten, Mary Staten, and Nicholas Green; great-grandchildren Lucee Staten, Gavin White, and Madee Staten all of Valdosta; special niece, Barbara Williams of Dothan, AL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Don Green.

Services for Alma Kathryn Green will be held in the Carson McLane Chapel on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Owens and Rev. Zack Corbett officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December, 11, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home.
