Allen Burt Atkinson

Allen Burt Atkinson, 61, of Thomasville and formerly of Hahira died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Archbold Medical Center. He was born in Hahira on October 12, 1959 to Annette Womack Atkinson and the late Foster Atkinson and was a lifelong resident of Hahira before moved to Thomasville. Burt worked in management for Langboard and TLC. He enjoyed fishing and was an all-around friend to his neighbors. Burt attended The Connection Assembly in Thomasville.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Varnedoe Atkinson; his daughter, Jordan Elizabeth Atkinson all of Thomasville; his mother, Annette W. Atkinson of Hahira; two sisters, Penny West of Hahira and Raymonda Van LuVen of Havana, FL; two brothers, Gary Atkinson of Hahira and Ricky Atkinson of Louisiana; his friend and companion dog, B.A.D.; numerous nieces, nephews and many many friends; his sister in law, Linda Joiner of Monticello, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, December 12, 2020 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 12pm-1pm. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
