Alice W. Jackson

Mrs. Alice W. Jackson, 73, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Lowndes County to the late Jim and Elise Greene Welch she was retired from Owens Illinois Bag Plant as an inspector and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Gary Caudle of Lake Park; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Judy Jackson of Quitman, and Rod Jackson of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Jim and Amy Caudle of Lake Park, Joy Caudle of Lake Park, Vicki and Doug Oliver of Valdosta, Tammy and Jason Price of Memphis, TN., Monica Williams of Valdosta; three great grandchildren, Savannah Oliver of Valdosta, Joshua and Tyler Price of Memphis, TN.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles and Gloria Jackson of Valdosta, Steve and Bobbie Baird of Brandford, Fl., Anita Brown of Valdosta, Janice Dennis of Palm Beach, Fl., Ann Welch of Port Richie, Fl.; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Belmont Jackson.

A graveside service for Alice W. Jackson will be held on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Benevolence Baptist Church.
