Alice T. Alderman

Alice T. Alderman, 99, of Valdosta, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on September 26, 1909 in Cook County, GA to the late Alva and Ressie McCranie Tyson. Mrs. Alderman was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Valdosta.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Mary Alice and Tom Allen of Cairo, GA, two sons and one daughter in law, Bridges Tyson and Elizabeth Alderman of Cocoa Beach, FL and Chester Thomas Alderman of Cecil, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Alderman is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Crichton Alderman.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at eleven a. m. in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend Thomas Mason officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from ten until eleven a. m. Saturday at the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, P. O. Box 1727, Valdosta, GA 31603-1727.
