Alice Mcdoniel Nobles

Alice McDoniel Nobles, 96, of Jacksonville, Florida and formerly of Valdosta died Monday, October 19, 2009 at her home after short illness. Mrs. Nobles was born on November 5, 1912 in Newark, Arkansas to the late Samuel A. and Willie Mae Berry McDoniel and had lived in Valdosta for many years before moving to Jacksonville ten years ago. She was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Valdosta.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Dianna Clayton Dosh and Robert L. Dosh, granddaughter, Cathy Murphy, grandson and his wife, Michael and Catherine Clayton, great grandchildren, Heather Murphy, Clay Murphy, Chelsea Clayton, Scarlett Clayton and Michael W. Clayton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lige E. Nobles, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, October 23, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Jimmy Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
