Alex Revels, 43, of Hahira, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at South Georgia Medical Center.
Alex was born November 14, 1966 in Valdosta, a son of the late John Alexander and Linda Sue Jackson Revels. He graduated from Valdosta High School with the Class of 1984 and operated his own painting business, Alex Revels Painting, Inc.
Alex was a member of CrossPointe Church and had coached softball. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, he was always there for his family and when anyone was in need. Alex was their "Superman". He lived in the moment, was care-free, and had a contagious laugh. He will be dearly missed all.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Revels; one daughter, Lauren Revels; and one son, Lance Revels, all of Hahira. Alex also leaves one brother, Timmy Revels of Valdosta; one sister, Felicia Revels of Ladson, SC; his mother-in-law, Dolly Luke of Panama City, FL; his father-in-law, Eddie White of Valdosta; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Michelle and Woody Breeden of Hahira; two nephews, John Wilson and Tyler Breeden; five nieces, Emily and Shelby Breeden, Jaden, Jacie and Jayann Corson; four uncles, Louie Hughes of Nashville, Mike Dowdy of Panama City, FL, Terry Jackson of Valdosta, and Alan Bull of Valdosta; cousins, Alan Bull, Jr. of Valdosta, Kayla Jackson of Valdosta, and Kim Azpeitia of Houston, TX; a large extended family, and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an aunt, Lynn Bull, uncle, Freddie Jackson, and his grandparents, John and Angelyn Simpson and James and Odell Jackson.
Funeral Services for Alex will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 8, 2010, at CrossPointe Church, with Pastor David Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
