Alex Craig White, 55, of Valdosta, died Thursday, July 19, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Valdosta on June 26, 1962. Craig was a Baptist and a 1980 graduate of Lowndes High School where he was a drum major for the Lowndes High Georgia Bridgemen. He continued to volunteer for them.
Craig is survived by his mother, Nell Bates of Valdosta, father and step mother, Henry Michael and Sally White of Lake Park, special step mother, Sonia White of Valdosta, brother, Michael White of Valdosta, two sisters and brothers in law, Laine and Bobby Chaney and Helen and Derrick Black, all of Lake Park, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maudell Rouse and his paternal grandmother, Mabel Paulk.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 23, 2017 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from one until two p. m. prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Bridges of Hope, 10031 Coffee Road, Morven, GA 31638 or the Humane Society of Valdosta, 1740 West Gordon Street, Valdosta, GA 31601.
