Alene Legette Griffin

Alene LeGette Griffin 74, of Jennings, FL formerly of Hahira, Ga passed away at the Haven Hospice House on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. With a strong and abiding faith in Jesus Christ, Alene devoted her life to her family and helping others.
Born in Hahira, Ga on February 6, 1946, to Duncan and Myrlee LeGette, Alene worked in sales for 40 years with JCPenny department stores. In 1963 Alene married the love of her life, Tim Griffin, and they were blessed with a son, Todd Martin Griffin. Tim and Alene loved the outdoors and anything that included spending time with her family. Alene is survived by her husband, Tim Griffin, of Jennings; her son Todd Griffin, of Hahira; her grandchildren, Kyle Griffin of Hahira and Kayla Griffin Becton (Evan) of Valdosta. Her sisters Ellen Hand, of Little Rock, AR, Billiedean Griffis (Ralph), of Adel, Faye Radford (Ray), of Hahira, and JoAnne Sawyer (Bud), of Valdosta; and her twin sister, Marlene Daugherty (Mike), of Hahira. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Melba Rae Hall, and Evangeline LeGette, and brother Charles LeGette.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11 am in the chapel of the McLane Riverview Mausoleum with Reverend Mike Davis officiating. Entombment will follow the service at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 am.
