Alec Wisenbaker

Alexander (Alec) Campbell Wisenbaker, III, 65, of Lake Park, died on Monday, September 24, 2012, at South Georgia Medical after a brief illness. Born in Valdosta on January 26, 1947, he was the son of the late Alexander Campbell Wisenbaker, Jr., and Mildred Ruth Veatch Wisenbaker. Alec was a graduate of Valdosta High School and Valdosta State College. He attended Emory University Seminary and served as Youth Director at First United Methodist Church in Adel. Early in his life he was a radio announcer for WGOV and WJEM. Later on he worked at the Post Office at Moody Air Force Base and then spent several years in Real Estate Sales and was associated with Luke Realty. Alec was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors are his brother, James Richard Wisenbaker of Valdosta; uncle and aunt, Herbert and Katherine Veatch of Valdosta, another aunt, Ruth Veatch of Valdosta and numerous cousins and other relatives.
A graveside committal of the cremains will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Dr. Bob Moon will officiate. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com . Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the Wisenbaker family.
