Albert P. Coutinho

January 14, 1914 — December 21, 2012

Albert P. Coutinho , 98, beloved father and grandfather, died Friday, December 21, 2012 of natural causes, at Presbyterian Home in Quitman.

He was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Albert and Ezaura Coutinho, immigrants from the Azores. Albert was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Yeager of Los Angeles, California and Belma Bryan, of Dallas, Texas.

Albert was also preceded in death by his wife Mary M. Coutinho. They are survived by one daughter and son-in law, Mary Ann and Raymond Bailey of Brooks County. They are survived by five grandchildren. William and Elizabeth Rowe of Echols County, Angela Rowe Clements of Valdosta, Kelly Anne Smith of Lake Park, Karrie Dowling and Tracy Bailey both from Jacksonville, FL.. There are six great-grandchildren from this union.

Also, preceding Albert in death was his wife Mary S. Coutinho. Albert has three step-children, William and Karen Neagus, from Farmington, CT, Kathleen and Ron Bobba, from Weekiwachee, FL, Elizabeth and Robert Massett, from Batavia, OH. He is survived by six step-grandchildren, Rebecca and Wayne Jones of Plantsville, CT, Rachel M. Neagus of Cromwell, CT, Robyn and Sal DeMatteo of Hudson, FL, Anthony and Vera Bobba of Boca Raton, FL, Amiee' and Dennis Strunk of Cincinnati, OH and Bob and Scotque Massett of Tacoma, WA. There are five step-great grandchildren and two step- great-great grandchildren from this union.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Mr. Coutinho at 12:10 P.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Dan O'Connell officiating, burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 at the funeral home with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com .
