A. LeGary Busby, 67, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on February 9, 1940 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Charles (Charlie) Arthur and Annie Pauline Pemberton Busby. Mr. Busby was retired as Plant Manager for Reames Concrete Company and was a member of Charity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Busby was a former member of Providence United Methodist Church. He loved children and children loved him. Mr. Busby loved to travel, fish, hunt and be with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed in retirement transporting cars for Langdale Ford.
Mr. Busby is survived by his wife, Lillian Busby of Valdosta, two sons and daughters in law, Michael and Angelica Busby of Ray City and Jeff and Mitiz Busby of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Jesse Busby, Joseph Busby, Jackson Busby and Marissa Busby. He is also survived by a sister and brother in law, Joyce Busby Fuller and S. W. Fuller of Tallahassee, FL, brother and sister in law, Charles and Frances Busby of Brooks County, sister, Dora Jean Busby of Jacksonville, FL, mother in law, Geneva C. Trowbridge of Chiefland, FL, sister in law and brother in law, Vera Beauchamp and R. Luther Beauchamp of Chiefland, FL, good friend, Jean Blevins of Jacksonville, FL, numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his father in law, W. N. Trowbridge.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Lee Graham. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
