Weyman Perrian Chandler, 68, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, November 12, 2009 in Pike County Illinois. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 2, 1941 to the late Dewey H. and Ila Belle Peppers Chandler. He was the co-owner of Automotive Transfers and was a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith, and was an avid big game hunter in which he achieved many records.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracie and Jeff Fiveash of Thomasville, Georgia and Amanda Lynn and Barton L. Smith of Canton, Georgia; four grandchildren, Ivey Fiveash and Chandler Fiveash both of Thomasville, Georgia and Makenzie Smith and Gracie Smith both of Canton, Georgia; one brother, Robert Chandler of Kennesaw, Georgia.
A memorial service for Weyman Perrian Chandler will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Eldridge Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
