Velma McCullough Mills, 94, of Valdosta, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Magnolia Manor of Columbus West in Columbus, GA. She was born on October 28, 1917 in Stringer, Jasper County, Mississippi to the late James Albert McCullough and Lela Mauldin McCullough. Mrs. Mills was a bookkeeper for the Mail Box Club and was a member of Grace Bible Church.

She is survived by three brothers, Thomas Elmer McCullough of Columbus, GA, Ulmer Younger McCullough of Laurel, MS and Wilmer Harrison McCullough of Thomaston, GA. Mrs. Mills is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Melvin (Jack) Mills, one sister, Alma Baughman, two brothers, James Selma McCullough and Albert Z. McCullough.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at eleven a. m. at Grace Bible Church, 401 East Park Avenue, Valdosta, GA with Reverend Rick Hofmeister officiating. Burial will follow at Sasser's Landing Cemetery in Jennings, FL. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
