Joann Lewis Fletcher, 74, of Valdosta, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County, GA. She was born on October 26, 1946. Joann was a homemaker that was always cooking for family and friends, as well as being a band mom while her children were in the Georgia Bridgemen. She was an avid movie and bear collector. Joann is survived by her husband Hulon Fletcher. Hulon and Joann would have been celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, July 15th.
Survivors are her husband Hulon Fletcher of Valdosta; daughter Cindy (Danny) Godwin, of Valdosta; three sons, Burt (Brenda) Fletcher, Jimmy (Faye) Fletcher, and Jerry (Lisa) Fletcher, all of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Jessica (Jake) Foster, Josh (Cellest) Godwin, both of Valdosta, Hunter (Chelsie) Fletcher, of Gainesville, FL, Tyler Fletcher, Savannah Fletcher, Zachary (Ayla) Fletcher, Madison (Michael) Anglin, Alaina Fletcher, all of Valdosta; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Charlotte Foster, Emma Godwin, Basia, Bensen, Cayden, and Camryn Fletcher, and Emerson Anglin; and one sister Linda Dixon.
Graveside services for Joann will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Pastor Andy Pearson officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home.
