James Robert Patterson, Jr.

James Robert Patterson, Jr., 54, of Valdosta passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on March 27, 1959 in Upland, Pennsylvania to the late James Robert, Sr. and Stella Marie Kerdowski Patterson. Mr. Patterson retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service having served in Desert Storm and in Iraq. Mr. Patterson was currently employed with Chaparral Boats in Nashville and he was a Catholic. He enjoyed fishing and bluegrass music.

Survivors include his wife, Oecha Patterson of Valdosta, his son and daughter in law, Samuel and Jaclyn Patterson of Holloman AFB, NM, his daughter, Kim Patterson of Valdosta, his grandson, Jace Patterson of Holloman, AFB, NM, his two sisters, Debbie Argot of Pennsylvania and Nancy Kight of Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, December 5, 2013 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. A rosary will be said at 5:30pm, Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8pm.
