Betty Harris Taylor

Betty Harris Taylor, 75, of Valdosta died on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Valdosta on August 2, 1939 to the late Joseph and Dorothy Mims Harris and has been a resident locally for most of her life. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony Gene and Linda Gail Taylor of Deland, Florida, Robert Randy Taylor of Dallas, Georgia and Thomas George Taylor of Valdosta; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara McLeod of Valdosta and a brother, Billy Ray Harris of Tampa, Florida.

Services for Betty Harris Taylor will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Jerry Carter officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
